Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the running stability and durability of magnetic recording medium by improving the lubricity and wear resistance of a magnetic layer by making the magnetic layer contain a specific organic silicone compound. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic layer is made to contain an organic silicone compound which has a hydrocarbon group or aryl group containing hydrocarbon group having lubricity and a superior affinity with a binder and a hydrocarbon group containing a fluorocarbon redical in a principal chain at the same time as shown by the general formula in the right margin.
