Etherimide compound and its preparation

Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL:The etherimide compound of formula I [R 1 WR 4 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, Cl or Br; R 5 and R 6 are H, methyl, ethyl, trifluoromethyl, or trichloro methyl; D 1 is group of formula II (R 7 , R 8 and Z are H, methyl or halogen; n is 1W4) or formula III; D 2 is group of formula II or formula III, or a group selected from bivalent ethylenic unsaturated groups havint 2W8 carbon atoms, wherein two carbon atoms bonded to two carbonyl groups are bonded together through a double bond]. USE: Raw material of a polymer having excellent heat-resistant flexibility. PROCESS: The compound of formula I is prepared by the dehydrative condensation reaction of the material obtained by the addition reaction of a diamine compound of formula IV and having an ether linkage, an ethylenic unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride of formula V, and an ethylenic unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride of formula VI.
