Cleaning device for electrophotographic copier

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To perform erasing of residual electrostatic images sufficiently and improve cleaning effect by providing protector magnets incorporating a lamp therein and directing a slitlike opening to photoreceptor side between a fur brush and a magnetic roll. CONSTITUTION:This is constituted by providing an electrically-conductive fur brush 2 rotating under rubbing with a photoreceptor 1 and applied with AC voltage, and protector magnets 5 directing a slitlike opening incorporating an erase lamp 6 between magnetic roll assemblies 10a, 10b to the photoreceptor 1 side. The erase lamp 6 is held covered by the protector magnets 5 directing the slitlike opening to the photoreceptor 1, and two pieces of the magnets 5 are so disposed that the magnetic poles of the same polarity oppose to each other. Repulsive magnetic fields are formed in the opening part, thus inhibiting the entry of magnetic powder. Thereby, cleaning effect is improved.
