Automatic exchange of mold at injection molding machine etc.

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To perform exchange of a mold promptly and automatically, by carrying a mold body on a standard mold attaching base between a fixed die plate and a moving die plate by a horizontal carrying device installed at a moving truck of an injection molding machine side. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal carrying device 17 is installed to a moving truck 18 at the side of an injection molding machine and a mold body 6 attached to a standard mold attaching base 5 is made to be carried between a fixed die plate 1 and a moving die plate 2. In a midway of carrying, after the horizontal carrying device 17 is stopped for a while and an approach of the moving die plate 2 is confirmed, the mold attaching base 5 is slided on the rolls 8 provided at a lower end part of an opposing face of both die plates 1, 2 and the mold body 6 is carried between both die plates 1, 2. Then, the mold attaching base 5 is tied to both die plates 1, 2 by a locking mechanism 9 and a molding operation is performed. After the molding operation is finished, the mold body 6 is drawn out to the moving truck 18 according to a nearly reverse procedure.
