Automatic sheet feeder

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To provide an automatic sheet feeder of a facsimile which can assuredly separate and feed a sheet without following of a waiting sheet by providing a sheet feed-out guide positioned parallel to a tangent line between a separating roller and a brake plate. CONSTITUTION: A sheaf of sheets including the lowest sheet adsorbed on a placing table 6 passes between a separating roller 23 and a dole finger 81 by dint of frictional force between the roller 23 and a feed roller 25, and only the lowest sheet is separated by friction between a brake plate 85 and the separating roller 23 and transported to a scanner roller through sheet feed-out guides 21, 22. As the sheet feed-out guides 21, 22 are disposed substantially parallel to a tangent line l between the brake plate 85 and the separating roller 23, the separated advancing sheet will not collide against the guide plates, and push up the brake plate 85.
