Roller cleaning method of heating roller fixing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To perform cleaning easily and surely by passing a predetermined sheet- like cleaning material between a pair of rollers constituting a heating roller fixing device. CONSTITUTION:If a sheet-like cleaning material formed by a thermally seftening resin material, porous fiber sheet material of Japanese paper or others of small heat capacity, a heat absorbing sheet of a black color or paper carried with uniffixed toner on the surface is passed between a pair of a heating roller in a heated state and a press-roller constituting a heating roller fixing device by these rollers at the occurrence of image stains or the like owing to offset phenomenon when fixing times reach more than the specified, the toner deposited on the outside surfaces of the rollers is transferred and picked up on the cleaning material, whereby the cleaning may be done easily and surely.
