Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To easily perform aperture setting at the strobe photographing by inputting a film sensitivity signal from camera body side and determining a guide number by this and the quantity of emitted light that the strobe device possesses. CONSTITUTION: A signal generator 4 according to the quantity of light emitted by a strobe device S, an automatic distance measuring device 5 and a conversion circuit 6 are provided to the constitution B on strobe device S side. A correct aperture value is calculated by an arithmetic circuit 7 from a film sensitivity signal, the guide number by the quantity of light emitted by the strobe device S', and the distance signal by the automatic distance measuring device 5, and the measured distance signal from the conversion circuit 6 is displayed in a distance display device 8. The correct aperture value from the arithmetic circuit 7 is displayed in an aperture value display device 11. In a comparator 12, the correct aperture value operated by the arithmetic circuit 7 is detected whether it is within the minimum and maximum aperture values of the lens used and the warning signal output terminal 12a for performing warning for the aperture value displaying when it is decided that the result of the comparison by this comparator 12 is not within said value is provided.
