Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the durability of an electromotive fuel supply pump by eliminating the deterioration of fuel. CONSTITUTION: When supplying a drive current through a control circuit 31 to an armature coil 14, the rotor 1 is rotated. Since the rotor 19 of a vane pump 18 is also rotated, the fuel is guided through a suction port 21 and a hole 26 in a front bracket 5 to the inside of the motor and discharged through a delivery port 24. Since the copper material is not employed in the rotor, the deterioration of the fuel is prevented to minimize the influence on the piping, while since the control circuit 31 for the motor is located outside of the fuel flow path and completely enclosed against the exterior of the motor, the deterioration or the decrease of the durability of the pump due to the fuel or water is eliminated to improve the reliability, while furthermore since the control circuit 31 is directly fixed to the rear bracket 6 and the inside of the bracket 6 is used as the fuel flow path, it provide excellent heat radiation and since the magnetic flux of the rotor 1 is directly detected, the detection of the position is performed accurately.
