Control system for air cylinder

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To accurately position a piston rod, by screw-engaging a piston with a screw rod coupled to a pulse motor and by supplying the screw-rod-side chamber of a cylinder with compressed air corresponding to load. CONSTITUTION: A screw rod 8 coupled to the rotary shaft 7 of a pulse motor 6 is screw-engaged with a piston 4. Compressed air corresponding to load is supplied to the screw-rod-side chamber Y of a cylinder 1 through a change-over valve 19. The load upon a piston rod 5 is cancelled by the compressed air so that the pulse motor 6 goes into a state approximate to an unloaded state and positional deviation due to inertia etc. is eliminated.
