Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enable a constant speed travelling condition to be easily obtained and also operation of acceleration exceeding a target speed to be attained by increasing operating load applied to an operating means when travelling speed of an automobile exceeds any set target speed. CONSTITUTION: When a ignition switch 17 is turned on and an automobile is in the ordinary running condition, operation of an accelerator pedal 1 is transmitted to a throttle valve 3 through a linkage 2. When a control switch 18 is next turned on, an electric control 8 is operated so that the pivotal angle of plates 21, 22 accompanying the linkage 2 is set depending on the difference between a travelling speed detector 15 and travelling speed setter 16. Thus, while the accelerator pedal 1 is properly depressed, the travelling speed is maintained at a target speed. When the accelerator pedal is depressed hard, the linkage 2 expands further the opening of the throttle valve 3 against the plate. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
