Orientation processing agent for liquid-crystal display panel

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a long-life and high-quality oriented film by the conventional processing technique by use of a stable processing solution by making into the orientation-processed film the hydrolytic film of a mixtue of organic silicon with a hydrolytic group and organic metal of a specific chelate type. CONSTITUTION:Organic silicon, etc., formulas 1-12, expressed by formula I (R: organic group) and organic metal of a chelate type expressed by formula II (Me is Ti, Al, Zr, Pb, Ce, Hf, Sn, La, Nd, Ta, or Th and R' is equivalent to R and a chelate type including O, N, S, P, or B) are mixed within the range of weight ratio 1:0.1-5 of organic silicon to chelate type organic metal and dissolved in a solvent itself of alcohol, ester, ketone, fluorine, or the like or its mixed solvent. This solution, after being applied to the substrate, dried and baked, is rubbed with a product coating and absorbent cotton, etc., to otain an oriented film. Thus, the long-life and high-heat-proof temperature oriented film can be obtained.
