Oil pressure buffer
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the nose-down during the braking by providing an oil pressure buffer, wherein an auxiliary cylinder having an air chamber outside of an outer tube is arranged, a relief valve is arranged in a passage connecting said air chamber with an air chamber in the outer tube, and a bypass valve bypassing said relief valve is provided. CONSTITUTION:A relief valve 38, the predetermined relief pressure thereof can be varied in response to the state of braking, is located in a passage 11 which communicates an oil chamber A located between a hollow tube 4 and an outer tube 1 of the oil pressure buffer with an oil chamber D in an auxiliary cylinder 9 mounted outside of the outer tube 1 of an oil pressure buffer, and a check valve 39 positioned at its outer circumference are interposed. An orifice 52 passes through a side wall of a cylindrical body 41 of the relief valve 38 to short-circuit the oil chambers A and D. Said orifice can be closed by a tip valve portion 53 of a push rod 47 inserted from one end of the cylindrical body 41 only when the braking is effected. The push rod 47 is engaged through a lever 49 with a brake lever (not shown).
