Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce an useless adhering force between an endless type belt and a platen by a method wherein grooves are provided on a surface of the platen to reduce adhering areas between the platen and the type belt. CONSTITUTION: The platen 1 is arranged at a back surface of the endless type belt 2 driven by a motor, a printing hammer 5 is opposingly provided at a front side through an ink ribbon and flow lubricating material is applied between the belt 2 and the platen 1. A plurality of grooves 1a, 1b for reducing adhering areas between the platen 1 and the type belt 2 are provided on the platen 1 excluding an area opposing to the hammer. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
