Light beam clock
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To realize easily an ultralarge clock, where the wall surface of a structure such as a building is utilized, with a simple unit, by using the irradiation part of a beam light as the hands of the clock. CONSTITUTION: Electric power is applied to rotatable projectors 1 and 5 through contact electrodes 17 and 18 to generate a light beam, and directions of projectors 1 and 5 are adjusted by adjusting screws 24 and 25 to form irradiation part 202 for long hand and irradiation part 203 for short hand on wall surface 27 most suitably. Next, electric power is supplied to rotation driving part 11 also, and part 11 is rotated normally after time adjustment dependent upon fast rotation and so on, and rotary discs 9 and 10 are rotated clockwise through reduction gear group 12, and projectors 1 and 5 are rotated and moved while holding the rotation speed and the relative positional relation for the clock function. As a result, a large-size clock is formed by the clock dial consisting of time display marks 204 provided on wall surface 27 and hands of the clock formed with beam irradiation parts 202 and 203.
