Automatic reset device for direction indicator

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To surely perform the operation of automatic reset for a turn signal indicator, by operating a reset device for whichever one of the values, the lapse of certain time at not lower than a determined speed from the time for a turn signal switch turned on or the travel distance covered in the time after the above described switch is turned on, to exceed a preset value. CONSTITUTION:When the contact of a turn signal switch 2, for instance, 3-4 is closed, a flasher unit 1 begins operating to flicker signal indicator lamps 6, 7. While at an output terminal of a comparator 24 in an automatic reset device 10 high potential appears. And if the speed is obtained at not lower than a predetermined speed V0 (5-15km/h), the voltage of an F/V converter circuit 57 exceeds the reference voltage of a capacitor 36 and a condenser 39 in a timer circuit 58 is charged. Further a condenser 47 in a travel distance detecting circuit 59 is also charged by the distance covered in that time. When each of the condensers 39 or 47 is charged to a level of prescribed voltage, transistors 53, 54 are turned on to excite a solenoid 12 and reset the switch 2 to its neutral position.
