Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts and simplify the assembling work by using a carriage guiding shaft combinedly as a presser shaft pressing a paper-feeding shaft in the printer wherein printing is performed by moving the carriage whereon a printing heat is mounted. CONSTITUTION: One end of the carriage 17 whereon the printing head 5 is mounted is fitted rotatably to a driving shaft 2, while the other end thereof is fitted slidably to the paper presser shaft 19 through the intermediary of a groove 20. The paper presser shaft 19 both ends of which are supported rotatably at one end of a rotating arm 21 is pressed against the paperfeeding shaft 8, while checking the moment of rotation applied to the carriage 17, together with the driving shaft 2, and further serving as the guiding shaft for the carrriage 17. The printing paper 15 is inserted along a curved guide plate 24 provided below the paper-feeding shaft 8 and is led upward through between the feeding shaft 8 and the presser shaft 9.
