Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a simple device to which a small-size and thin-gage structure is possible, by providing the lock plate which moves back according to the insertion of the caddy of a video disk player, the catch which opens and closes according to the shift of the lock plate, and the self-locking mechanism which hooks the lock plate. CONSTITUTION:The lock plate 5 is attached in a slidable way at the back of the caddy rail 3 the both ends of which are bent into a channel-shape and always energized toward the front insertion slot by the springs 19 and 20. The lock collars 21 and 22 are attached to the plate 5 in a free-rotating way by the shafts 23 and 24. At the same time, the self-pins 25 and 26 are fixed to touch the self-tops 29 and 30 which are attached to the rail 3 in a free-rotating way. And the catches 37 and 38 which are energized by the springs 41 and 42 are provided to the shafts 39 and 40 at the rear end of the rail 3. When the caddy (not shown in the figure) is inserted up to the rear edge of the rail, the plate 5 slides back. And the tips of the catches 37 and 38 open outward. And when the outer case of the caddy is pulled out, the catches 37 and 38 engage the cavity of the caddy to stop the caddy.
