Fuel injection device in diesel engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of an ignition delay, by a method wherein, in a fuel injection device in a diesel engine, a preliminary fuel required for ignition is fed in the first half of a compression process, and a main fuel is injected into a combustion gas near a compression top dead center. CONSTITUTION: A central fuel path 23 is located at a rotating and reciprocating plunger 15 which is positioned in a fuel injection pump, and fuel, which is compressed in a cylinder chamber 29 being formed at a right end being connected to a fuel suction path, is supplied through a path 23. Said compressed fuel is fed to a nozzle (not shown) through the fuel path 23, a longitudinal path 34 bored in a radial direction, a slit 24, and a connection port 22. A preliminary port 34 connecting to the connection port 22 at a position earlier than the longitudinal path 34 is mounted at the plunger 15, and a small amount of fuel is supplied through a throttle 35 at an early time.
