Polyester composition having antistatic property

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: The titled composition suitable for preparation of polyester film having improved antistatic properties without reducing transparency, obtained by blending polyester of terephthalic acid with a metallic salt of sulfonic acid and styrene oligomer. CONSTITUTION: Polyester consisting of terephthalic acid as a main acid component (not less than 70mol%) is blended with 0.05W2wt% metallic salt of sulfonic acid, preferably lithium alkyl sulfonate having 8W20C alkyl group and 0.05W5wt% stylene oligomer having an average molecular weight not more than 12,000. When a packing material having a thickness not more than 25μ is made, an additive, e.g., lubricant, etc. is required.
