Formation of fiber-reinforced plastic
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To form a molding material in which fiber-reinforced plastics are placed on the upper and lower parts of a flat core material by means of a specific molding method so as to obtain a correctly molded product without unevenness on both upper and lower sides. CONSTITUTION: The molding material in which fiber-reinforced plastics are placed on the upper and lower sides of the flat core material, particularly a pre-preg laminate 2 for manufacturing a large-size box-type sandwitched structure having a hardly moldable rectangular section is placed on a molding bottom plate 1. Then, the highly rigid and light weight upper plate 3 is placed on the laminate 2 and L- shaped side plates 4 are arranged on the four sides of the upper plate 3. Then, they are subjected to an autoclave or vacuum pack molding process to form it into a box- type sandwitched structure having a correct rectangular section. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
