Activated carbon tower

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to exchange an activated carbon unit within a short time by external operation by filling activated carbon into an activated carbon unit with wheels and arranging said activated carbon unit onto a rail provided with a wedge. CONSTITUTION: A wheel 12 is provided to an activated carbon unit 11 and, to a position corresponding to this wheel 12, a rail 13 is provided by interposing an upwardly and downwardly movable wedge 14. The wheel 12 is put on the wedge 14 of this rail 13 and the wedge 14 is moved by external operation so as to draw out said unit 11 along the rail 13 when said wedge 14 and the rail 13 are adjusted to the same level. A malodorant gas is introduced into a tower from a gas inlet 7 and, after passed through a gas passage port 26 of an unit loading plate 9 and a packing 24 and deodorized in an activated carbon unit 11, and discharged from a gas outlet 8.
