Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To miniaturize the recorder of a recording and reproducing device that uses a fixed multihead, by making a video signal recording unit and reproduced- signal processing unit attachable and detachable. CONSTITUTION: Recording unit 1 recording a video signal and reproduced-signal processing unit 2 processing a signal reproduced by the recording unit are formed being attachable to and detachable from each other. Then, when units 1 and 2 are equipped, the both are electrically connected to each other via coupling contacts 31(ab)∼37(ab). To and from unit 1, TV camera 4 and microphone 5 are also attachable and detachable. As a result, while recording unit 1 is independently used, video signals can be recorded, and consequently the recorder can be made lightweigt and miniature.
