Preparation for compound molded article

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To form any pattern on the surface of a decorative plate in the preparation of a composite molded article having corrugations such as a cover plate of a wash-basin and the like by a method wherein the decorative plate and a female die with a cavity are placed one upon another and foaming resin liquid is injected into the gap between them to make the molded article having any pattern on the surface of the decorative plate. CONSTITUTION: A decorative plate 3 from thermoplastic resin is placed on a base plate 2 which forms a cavity 1 nearly in the whole middle other than the circumference of the upper surface, foaming polyurethane liquid is injected and let to foam in the space 5 formed by the base plate 2 and the decorative plate 3, the decorative plate 3 is softened by the reactive heat and pressed under foaming pressure to the die surface 4a of a female die 4. Thus, a composite molded article having a convex portion on the decorative plate is obtained at the same time as urethane resin is packed. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
