Small-sized lathe
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To make an entire lathe compact by a method wherein a bed in the lathe heretofore in use is removed, the role of the bed is taken over by the main shaft box and working members are moved by means of plural sliding members supported by the box. CONSTITUTION: A sliding shaft 25 is supported by the main shaft box 5 in such a manner that it can move in the axial direction but not rotate around the axis. The 2nd slide 41 and 42 equipped with edge-tool fitting parts are held at the tip part of a stock 45 so that they can approach and leave the axis of the main shaft 7. The 1st slide 20 and the 2nd slides 41 and 42 are given the reciprocating motion by hydropneumatic cylinders 51 and 52 and feeding screws. Since the 2nd slides are held by the stock positioned at the tip of the 1st slide supported by the main shaft box 5, the entire lathe can be made compact. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
