Flexible cloth film dam

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To facilitate a flashing of the deposit and downstream of the flexible dam by a method wherein bulged-out cloth film is provided with a certain angle of raising even if an upstream water level at a contact part between the flexible cloth and the bottom of a river is reached up to a planned fall water level. CONSTITUTION: When there is no flow of upstream or downstream, an upraising angle of the cloth 1 at the downstream contact point B is about 6W150°. Since a width of fall Y 2 from the contact point B is lower than that of a conventional system, water is flowed over the fallen dam cloth film 1 when the upstream is reached up to the fallen water level 7 even if the deposit sand and soil 6 is found downstream, then the sand and soil 6 is easily flashed away not to prevent the flow of river. Approximate semi-circular dam shows a low variation of a height of the dam in respect to a variation of the levels of upstream and downstream, and a variation of the dam force applied by the wave is also low, resulting in that the dam is effective as a water level control river dam.
