Running direction guiding device for manual secondary scan type reader

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To ensure an accurate reading of the picture information, by incorporating the guiding device itself into the body of the reader to secure a draw-out of the guiding device out of the reader body when the reading of the original is started and at the same time providing the reading region indicating part to the guiding device. CONSTITUTION: The reader W is shifted by manual in the secondary scanning direction which is orthogonal to the main scanning direction. And the guiding device made of the thin-plate type component S having the flexibility is incorporated into the body 3 of the reader W. As a result, a free action of the guiding device is ensured for both the draw-out in the front and advancing direction of the reader and the storage into the inside of the body of the reader. Furthermore, the reading region indicating part I is provided to the component S in order to secure an indication of the reading region in the width (a) corresponding to the reading extent of the reader.
