Polypropylene resin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition for the preparation of a translucent film having a high and uniform haze value independent of the molding conditions, and an easily controllable melt flow index, by compounding a propylene homopolymer, an ethylene homopolymer and an organic peroxide. CONSTITUTION: A composition composed of (A) a crystalline polypropylene or a crystalline propylene-α-olefin (other than propylene) copolymer, (B) polyethylene or a copolymer of ethylene and an α-olefin (other than ethylene) and/or a radically polymerizable polar unsaturated compound, and (C) an organic peroxide having a decomposition temperature of about ≥60°C for the half-life of 10hr. The amount of the component(C) is 0.001W1.0, pref. 0.01W0.2pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of (A)+ (B). The weight ratio of (A):(B) is pref. 98:2W70:30. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
