Tracking system of optical disc memory

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable to write in data additionaly on an arbitrary sector on an arbitrary track freely, by sectioning one recording track into plurality, recording the tracking information on each sector and tracking the information after extracting. CONSTITUTION:The recording track on the recording medium is divided into N, and the tracking information 210 for the recording tracking is recorded in advance to the N sets of sectors as the pre-wobbling signal. Further, this tracking signal 210 is extracted and recorded as major tracking signal. At the recording of the signal information, while tracking the tracking signal 210, the address information 211 is read in, the objective address is freely retrieved, and the signal information is recorded on the recording information area 213 of this track as required. Thus, the additional write-in can be made to an arbitrary sector of an arbotrary track, the reference light of the signal information recording is made unnecessary, and the optical system unit can be simplified.
