Preparation of ibuprofen slow-release composition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition, useful as an inflammatory pain medicine, etc., by dispersing a polymerizable monomer containing ibuprofen into an aqueous medium, and polymerizing said monomer by means of irradiation of light or an ionizing radiation. CONSTITUTION: Ibuprofen is dissolved in one or more polymerizable monomers such as glycidyl methacrylate, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate or diethylene glycol dimethacrylate. The resulting solution is mixed with an aqueous medium and said monomer containing ibuprofen is suspended in the aqueous medium. Then purpose composition is obtained by the polymerization of said monomer by means of irradiation of light or an ionizing radiation of the dispersion. The aqueous medium is preferably an aqueous solution containing 0.01W5wt% of a surfactant. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
