Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a toner of superior developing characteristics, fixing characteristics, durability, fluidity, etc. by producing the toner by using the copolymer mixture in which the respective mean molecular weights of two kinds of styrene polymers and the copolymerization percent of styrene monomers are in the specific relation. CONSTITUTION: The toner is produced by using the mixture in which the mixture of two kinds of copolymers in the relation of MA<MB, WA>WB wherein the mean molecular weight MA of one copolymer A of a copolymer of a styrene monomer as a styrene copojymer and alkyl ester of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, the copolymerization ratio WA of the styrene monomer, the mean molecular weight MB of the other copolymer B and the copolymerization ratio WBwt% comprises 10 3 W8× 10 4 Ma, 10 5 W2×10 6 MB, 50W98% WA 35W90% WB, as a binder. Magnetic toner is added at 15W 70wt% of the toner weight and an ethylene base olefin polymer of 10W10 6 cps melt viscosity at 140°C is added at 0.1W5wt% of the total weight of the toner.
