Fingerprint reference device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To carry out the stable and high accurate reference by dividing the partial coordinates properly determined by the respective characteristic points in which the fingerprints are characterized into the sector areas of plural angles and detecting the high line numbers between the nearest characteristic points. CONSTITUTION: The partial coordinates system x, y in the direction D of one characteristic point M of the fingerprint are divided into a plurality of sector areas and the nearest characteristic point m 0 Wm 3 and the relation composed of the high line numbers r 0 Wr 3 and the concentration amount of the characteristic point are used as a new characteristic. The characteristic point of the retrieval fingerprint stored in the file 1 is read 2 and stored temporarily, and this characteristic data is connected and synthesized at the relation connecting portion 4 and in accordance with the retrieval fingerprint and the file fingerprint, respectively stored in the retrieval characteristic memory 5 and the file characteristic memory 6. The characteristic point mating with the memory 5, 6 is inspected by the pair inspection portion 7 and the characteristic of the retrieval and the file fingerprint to be judged as the pair is stored in the pair inspection portion 7.
