Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a polyester dyeable with cationic dyes and having excellent light-fastness, by adding a specific amount of a benzophenone compound to a copolyester of 5-sodium sulfoisophthalic acid. CONSTITUTION: A modified polyester, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate copolymerized with preferably 1.1W12.6mol% of 5-sodium sulfoisophthalic acid (ester derivative), etc., is compounded with 0.01W5.0wt%, preferably 0.06W0.5wt% of a benzophenone compound preferably expressed by the formula I or II. Compounding is carried out preferably at 150W200°C and 10W1,000mmHg under the flow of an inert gas. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
