Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To facilitate installation of ink ribbon cassette by fitting locating projec- tion and stop pawl as integral parts of the under part of the ink ribbon cassette into fitting sections for carriage locating and fixing. CONSTITUTION: Two locating projections 22, 22' and stop pawls 23, 23' are formed under the ribbon receiving section 11 of ink ribbon cassette 3 as its integral parts and fit into holes 24, 24' and shouldered bores 25, 25' provided for the carriage 1. Forward and backward as well as left and right movements are regulated by fitting into holes 24, 24', while upward movement is stopped by fitting into shouldered bores 25, 25'. Semicircular support member 26 made of rubber, etc. is provided for the upper surface of the carriage 1 to prevent looseness arising from clearance between the end hook portion 23a and stepped portion 25a.
