Safety system for combustion apparatus
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a highly reliable and economical safety system for a combustion apparatus, by employing such an arrangement that a high power is supplied only at the time of opening a solenoid valve and the valve is closed when misfiring, interruption of power supply or troubles in circuit is caused, by means of a control circuit for means for controlling the drive of solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION: When a fan is set into operation by means 92 associated with the fan, power is supplied to control circuit 90, which consists of an oscillator for detecting misfire, that is used commonly as oscillator in a booster circuit, comparison circuit, solenoid valve driving circuit, ignition timer circuit, etc. When cock 78 is opened, switch 79 interconnected to the cock 78 is closed and ignitor 88 is kept in operation for a predetermined while. At the same time, solenoid valve 89 is opened by a high power supplied from the booster circuit. Here, if burner 76 is ignited normally, solenoid valve 89 is kept open by the electromotive force of thermocouple 77 and combustion is continued. On the other hand, if misfiring is caused during combustion, solenoid valve 89 is closed due to drop of the electromotive force of thermocouple 77. In case that cock 78 is kept open at the time of connecting power source and that some trouble is caused in control circuit 90, solenoid valve 89 is not opened. This is also applied to burners 80, 84. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
