Sintered alloy for inlet valve seat
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a sintered alloy for an inlet valve seat with enhanced hardness and wear resistance by dispersing hard alloy particles based on C and Cr in a matrix metal. CONSTITUTION: Powder blended in the form of an alloy or the like so that it may consist of, by weight, 0.5W1.5% C, 1W3% Ni, 0.2W1.0% Mo, 2W10% Cr and the balance essentially Fe is mixed, compacted, and sintered. This sintered body is hardened, tempered, and slowly cooled. Thus, 3W15% hard alloy particles based on C and Cr are dispersed in the matrix, and a sintered alloy having favorable density is obtd. cheaply. This alloy is superior to a casting in wear resistance and can be cut without hindrance. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
