Carrier for electrophotographic developer

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To form a carrier used in the manufacture of an electrophotographic developer having a long life and giving an image free from an internal aperture by making many semispherical pores on the surface of a spherical carrier. CONSTITUTION: Many semispherical pores 2 having about 10W30μ diameter equal to the toner diameter are made on the surface of spherical carrier 1. When porous carrier 3 is mixed with toner 4 and used as a developer, toner 4 is held in pore 2. Thus, carrier 3 well contacts to another carrier 3, so the electrical conductivity of the developer is raised to enable development free from an internal aperture. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
