Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To perform safe operation by indicating information of various measuring devices on the front windshield by means of a pattern for indicating informations with liquid crystal on the front glass of automobiles. CONSTITUTION:A dynamic scattering effect type is used for the liquid crystal indicator. A number of small regions varied in the molecular orientation appear by having a small amount of current flowing into the liquid crystal so that light is refracted in double on the boundary of the regions. In addition, a color filter is used to color the light. The MOS type IC and the silver battery are used to drive the liquid crystal indicator. This can minimize the total power consumption while making it extremely thin. Thus, this indicator can adhere to the curved surface of the front windshield.
