Antistatic composition for halogen-containing resin

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To impart high antistatic capacity to a halogen-containing resin, by using a specific amount of a polymer (saponified product) containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer together in using a cationic or an anionic antistatic agent in said halogen-containing resin. CONSTITUTION: In imparting antistatic capacity to a halogen-containing resin such as polyvinyl chloride or a chlorinated polyethylene by using a cationic or an anionic antistatic agent such as a quaternary ammonium salt or an alkali salt of org. sulphonic acid, a polymer including ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or saponified product thereof, e. g., (ethylene-vinyl acetate)-vinyl chloride graft copolymer or the like is used in a proportion within a range of 1:99W50:50 with said halogen-containing resin and, further, pref., an org. boric acid ester shown by the formula (wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 are H, 8W36C alkyl or alkenyl) is used together.
