Silver halide color photographic material

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enhance the shelf stability and coloring properties of a photosensitive material by adding a coupler having a sulfinyl group-substituted alkoxy group as an elimination group to a position where it couples with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine developer. CONSTITUTION: A colorless photographic cyan dye forming coupler having an at least one sulfinyl group-substituted alkoxy group as an elimination group is added to a position where it couples with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine developer. The sulfinyl group is represented by the formula (where R is a satd. or unsatd. divalent aliphatic group, R 1 is alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, aralkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, heterocyclic or the like and R and R 1 may bond to each other to form a ring).
