Two cycle internal combustion engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To preperly lubricate the bearing of a crankshaft and thereby improve the capacity of an internal combustion engine by installing through holes near the bearing sides of a balance weight. CONSTITUTION:A balance weight 3a is increased in volume to reduce the open space volume inside a crankcase 1. As a result, the balance weight naturally covers the sides of a bearing 5. To solve this problem, through-holes are bored near the weight sides in the same direction with a crankshaft 3. A fuel mixture enters the inside of the bearing 5 from the through-holes and lubricates a seal 6 and rises through passages 1b, thereby providing sufficient lubrication to the bearing 5, thus prolonging its service life. Furthermore, installation of the through-holes serves to depress heat generation, increasing the mixed density and the output of the engine.
