Unified construction of return and hold-down spring of brake shoe
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To unify the function of shoe for returning to the non-braking position by providing elastic body between the pin fixed to the brake back plate and holding Belleville spring for shoe hold-down and the shoe web in which the pin fits freely. CONSTITUTION: In the pin 2 whose head 5 is fixed to brake back plate 1 is provided slot 6 from the edge face of the axial direction, and spiral spring 7 one end of which is fixed in slot 6 is made to touch on the inner surface of hole 4, in which pin 2 of shoe web 3 fits freely, so as to work for returning the shoe at the time of removal of brake. Belleville spring 8 is fixed to the edge part of pin 2 with clip 9 and is pressed to the brake back plate, touching on the upper surface of shoe wob 3. Because the spring for returning the shoe and the hold-down spring are unified in assembly and fitting, the construction of brake can be simplified, assembly and fitting can be easier, and the function of shoe for returning to the non-braking position can be unified.
