Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To enable the great reduction in the weight of a rim, by changing the thickness of the central part of the rim. CONSTITUTION: The rim comprises the central part 1, side wall parts 2, 3 extendin upward from the central part 1 and small curved parts 4, 5 provided on the side wall parts. The thickness of the side wall parts 2, 3 and the small curved parts 4, 5 is small. The central part 1 is provided with projections 6 extending at an appropriate spacing in the cross direction of the central part. Therefore, the thickness of the central part 1 is regularly changed.
