Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enable continuous and stable feeding of a sheet without regard to the thickness and size of the sheet piled up, by a mechanism wherein pushing pressure to the sheet on conveyor rollers is changed in proportional to the thickness of the piled sheet. CONSTITUTION: In a device provided with a carrying pulley 19 rotated in the arrow head direction by means of a drive motor, a separating roller 20 to which the turning effort of the drive motor is transmitted through a clutch gear not shown in the figure and a paper discharging roller 22, etc., a pressure plate 27 for pushing a manuscript from the upper side is pivotally supported to a nose of a pressure arm 29 by means of a pin 28, and a notch functioning as the escape of a lever 30' of a microswitch 30 is mounted to the center portion. A separating plate 32 pressure- contacted by means of the separating roller 20 is installed while a manuscript discriminating part 38 is disposed. When the discriminating part 38 does not work after a copy switch is turned ON and a fixed time elapses, a shaft 40 is driven by means of a rotary solenoid not shown in the figure and the pressure applied to the manuscript is increased through the pressure plate 27.
