Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic receptor superior in film forming performance, durability, and charging and residual potential characteristics, by forming a layer consisting mainly of a charge transfer substance derived from p-phenylenedipyrazoline on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION: On a conductive substrate, when necessary, with an interlayer between, a thin layer is formed consisting mainly of a charge productive substance, and adjacently to this layer, a layer is formed consisting mainly of a polymer binder and a charge transfer substance represented by formula I. Such a bilayer structure provides a photoreceptor having the most superior electrophotographic characteristics, the fine particles of the charge productive substance may be dispersed into this charge transfer layer by the interlayer formed on the substrate when necessary.
