Leakage position detector

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect a leakage position easily and accurately by measuring vibrations occurring at the time of leakage, by arranging several sensors on a detected body at a fixed distance. CONSTITUTION:On pipe 1, acoustic sensors 2a and 2b are provided being fixed distance away each other and respective signals detected by the both are supplied to waveform shaping parts 3a and 3b. Once leakage occurs to pipe 1, the leakage part vibrates and its leakage tone is received by acoustic sensors 2a and 2b, whose outputs are supplied from waveform shaping parts 3a and 3b to a time-difference detection circuit consisting of arrival sequence decision circuit 8, OR-ELSE circuit 7, and clock circuit 9; and the output of counter 10, the output of the time-difference detection circuit, is supplied to signal processing circuit 11, which detects the leakage position from a time difference from the reception start time of the leakage signal.
