Color television camera of single carrier frequency separation type

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve picture quality greatly by making it possible to derive a faithful color signal to a part where correlation of a subject on two adjacent scanning lines is not born, when the part exists. CONSTITUTION: By stripe filter 1 arranged on the front surface of pickup tube 2, two primary color components of a subject are converted into a single frequency and when the converted color-band signal is led out being frequency-superposed upon the luminance signal of the subject, the color-band signal having passed through band-pass filter 4 is supplied to adder circuit 7 and subtracter circuit 8 by way of 1H delay circuit 5 and π/2 phase shifting circuit 6. The output signal of this circuit 8 is inverted at every 1H by phase-inverter circuit 26 and switch 27 switching in response to horizontal pulses P. On the other hand, the output of circuit 7 is phase- shifted by 3/2π phase shifter 28, whose output is compared with that of switch 27 by phase comparator circuit 29, the output of which is applied to vertical deflecting circuit 31 via LPF30 to control the center position of circuit 31, thereby leading a faithful color signal out.
