Recording and reproducing unit for video signal

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reject the failure in case of provision of individual delay circuit, to simplify the circuit and to enable good reproduction, by commonly using one delay circuit and using it to the comb type filter, cross talk rejection filter and dropout compensation circuit. CONSTITUTION: The Y signal separation comb type filter is constituted with the delay circuit 1 and the adder 4, and the C(chroma) signal separation comb type filter is constituted with the delay circuit 1 and the subtractor 12. Since phase inversion is made for the C signal of the video signal S 2 every 1H, the C signal is cancelled at the adder 14. As a result, (Y+YD) signal is obtained at the adder 14. Further, (CD-C) signal is produced by cancelling Y signal at the subtractor 12. If no vertical corelativity is present between the signal S c and that 1H before, the Y signal is not cancelled at the subtractor 12 and (YD-Y) component remains at the output. If corelativity is present, at the operator 18, the output of the adder 14 and that of the slice circuit 17 are subtracted or added. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
