Light beam scanner
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To enable linear scanning to be done without compensating the bend of scanning locus by placing a spot light source in the position deviated from the loci of the optical axes of the lenses of a rotary disc having a plurality of lenses made by being given distortion aberrations. CONSTITUTION: The point O 1 when the plane to be scanned is viewed from behind a spot light source S is the rotating center of a rotary disc 6 and the optical axis of a lens l 1 moves on the circle 7 along with the rotation of the disc 6. When there is a distortion aberration in the lens l 1 , the imaging magnification varies with the height of the object. Now, if it is supposed that the optical axis of the lens l 1 be on the point R 0 on the line SO 1 , that the disc 6 rotate clockwise by an angle θ and that the optical axis of the lens L 1 move to the point R, forming the image of the spot light source S at the point Q 1 simply entails having the lens l 1 of so-called barrel- form of the characteristics wherein the image magnification decreases with an increase in the height of the object. This constitution yields the light bram scanner which is capable of performing linear scanning without using any bend correcting means for scanning loci. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
