Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To control the driving force of a change gear, by making a planet gear case of a wrench slidable in the axial direction and engaging spline teeth on both ends of the case and sun gear with those on input and output shafts. CONSTITUTION: The tip 2a of an output shaft 2 is projected on a change gear 1 in the front and a holder 3 of nut runner is solidly fixed to the gear in the rear. When an input shaft 5 in the holder 3 is turned by a nut runner, the power is transferred from an inner spline 8 to teeth 18' of spline 19' set to and end of a sun gear 14, and then from the sun gear 14 through a planet gear 16, track gear 17, teeth 13 inside of gear case 9 and outer spline 25 to the output shaft 2. At this moment, the revolution of the nut runner is boosted and transferred to the shaft end 2a. The change gear is put in neutral by moving a slide ring 22 leftward by a half pitch, and the revolution of input shaft 5 is directly transferred to the output shaft 2 by an additional half-pitch shift leftward.
