Lead frame finishing machine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To remove synthetic resin flush using blast by providing a removal process such that facing pieces of a pair of endless chains elastically hold the side faces of a lead frame and move intermittently on the linear transfer route. CONSTITUTION: A lead frame A consisting of a resin B sealed electronic element is fed to the straight transfer route. In endless chains 3, 3' at both sides of the transfer route located symmetrically with respect to the center line of the transfer, the linear running lines 2, 2' move intermittently at a constant speed. The peripheries of both chains are provided at given intervals with facing-pieces 19, 19' having grooves 19" which elastically hold the side face of the lead frame. At the receiving side, the pieces 19, 19' approach each other to make the grooves 19" to hold the frame A. At the sending side, the grooves 19" are separated to release the frame A. While the frame are continuously or intermittently moved along the transfer route, they are treated by blasting, washing, etc., so that resin flush is effectively removed from connected parts of resin B and lead frame A.
